Sad New’s
Thomas sat in his study, he’d given strict instruction’s that should Holly wake he was to be informed immediately. He was trying to read Vince’s progress report but his mind kept wandering and he was struggling to say focused, most of the report detailed daily going’s on nothing much of interest. Some information about the attack and fire over at the church but finally near the bottom he came across something which made him pause.

Narrisa Carpenter he knew the name but couldn’t for the life of him remember who it was, as he sat there considering the fact’s it suddenly dawned on him.
Orion’s wife, when he’d sent the young solider away to the mainland it had not even entered his head that the young man was married.
“Vince did you know Orion was married?” Thomas asked.
“Of course” Vince nodded “he asked me to watch out for his wife and children before he left”
Thomas sighed heavily “How come we are only finding out his wife died now?”
“I only found out myself yesterday when the runner returned from the village after giving her Orion’s wages, she was sent with Valdermar to Brightden”
“I didn’t even know she was pregnant” Thomas replied “Did the baby survive do you know?”
“Yes sir, another girl I believe she’s been called Beatrice”
“Who’s taking care of them now?”
“I believe his eldest daughter is”
“Eldest?” Thomas sighed again “how many children does he have?”
“Six girls’s I believe”
Thomas chuckled “He has been busy”
“I believe they where still trying for a boy” Vince smiled glumly.
Thomas nodded “Make sure they are taken care of won’t you?”
“Of course sir, Orion asked me to mind out for them before he left”
“Orion isn’t going to be happy when he return’s”
“No sir, but he’s a good solider he knows his duty… besides the children will be taken care of he lives next door to his mother im sure she’ll lend a hand, the people tend to band together when things like this happen”
“Indeed they do” Thomas replied.
*sniffle* Six little girls without a mother — that’s so sad. Evil death calculator.
And poor Orion when he gets home and finds this out.
