A Kingdom is Born

Six weeks had passed since Orion and Forrest had headed to the mountains and an uncertain calm had fallen over Grimstead.

Henry’s troops had arrived a week after the battles at Darkfire castle dispensing with any small units of demons they found, only small and isolated groups remained and for the most part the threat was gone.

Orion filled Henry in about the situation with Tarik. Informing his King that the actions of “Tarik” over the passed few months where not really his own.

However as much as Henry believed now that all was not as it seemed, seeing with his own eyes things months before he’d not thought possible, he could not risk the possibility of Tariks involvement to much had gone on to ignore.

And of course there was still the matter of Quillen the little boy over whom this whole mess had seemingly started. Thomas still livid over what had happened with Holly, almost beyond the point of reason would not accept that this whole situation was caused by an outside force.

Unwilling to give up his son, an uncomfortable stalemate was reached, Tarik unable to take Quillen by force without causing a war, and Thomas unyielding in his belief that Tarik was the enemy. Only prevented from acting by his fathers reason, and by his own nagging doubts that perhaps there was indeed more to the situation than met the eye.

The Outburst in Hamdun village also did not occur without repercussions, Gabriel worked hard to re-build and most of the damage was repaired but the whispers and rumours rippled across the kingdom causing much fear and distrust.

At the centre of it all Father Mathew the churches leader within Grimstead leading his own private Witch hunt against any he deemed different. Making it clear to all that Grimstead was no-longer safe for the gifted.

Many discussions where held over those early weeks between King Henry and Tarik, both wary of the other, neither trusting fully. They finally reached the decision that Tarik and the gifted that chose to move, would stay in Darkfire Mountains where it was safe from the witch hunts.

The forging of a second Kingdom, King Tarik at the helm, a haven for those that where different. Acting as guardians and lookout should Risa and her minions rise again.
