Albert Paces.

Albert Howard had the weight of the world on his shoulders. His son and daughter would be returning from university in a few weeks, and it should have been a happy time. Instead Albert paced stressing over details, Bran’s wedding was well underway most of the arrangements had been made all Bran and Abagael would be married within the month.

  It was his Daughter Brianna that was causing him the headache, Peter Hamdun had asked for her Hand in marriage almost 12 months ago and at the time he’d been honoured a nobleman would want his daughters hand, however in the months that had past he’d learned some disturbing things about the man he’d agreed to give his daughter too.

 The latest revelation concerning the Beav’s daughter had been the final straw; he was so close to calling the whole thing off. If he called it off his daughter would probably never forgive him, her frequent letters she’d written him had told him just how excited she was, Peter had obviously treated her well while they’d been together could it be that the latest events where merely the result of too many hormones running though a young mans body or where they the warning sign’s telling a father to steer clear.

Why could this not have happened earlier, perhaps then he could have written to Bran asking him to encourage his sister to find a more suitable husband at university. It was too late now of course the pair would already be on the boat back home to Grimstead where Eligible young men where desperately short in supply.

He didn’t care about the honour of marrying into nobility he could live without that, but the look on his daughters face when she heard would kill him.  Calling off the wedding would undoubtedly doom Brianna to life as a spinster.

As he paced debating if he should allow the wedding to go ahead, Taye appeared at the doorway her eye’s red raw, as they had been a lot lately, there was another mistake he’d made, right there, standing there in the doorway.

He’d married the girl without thinking, without thinking of the consequences for the poor girl, the desperation of her mother in marring off the 14 year old to an old man only compounded how desperate the situation was for unmarried girls in Grimstead. He didn’t want Brianna to be in the same situation.

Taye didn’t say a word she just stood there glaring, she didn’t need to speak. He knew all too well what was wrong. She wanted a baby, a simple enough desire, for a young married woman. He didn’t really want a child, and that’s the excuse he used night after night, but she was a good girl and she deserved to be happy.

However a baby was something Albert too ashamed to admit he was unable to give her even if he’d wanted too. He’d always been a failure in the bedroom, he’d struggled with his wife in his youth but they’d been very much in love and she’d been so understanding it had taken a lot of effort on both of their parts but they had managed to have their 3 children.

Then years later when Tarik had decided that Albert should have a child with Elvira for the sake of the castle the trauma of the event had almost been his undoing. By the will of god he finally managed to get the woman pregnant on his only sucessful night with her, however the whole affair had been the most humiliating experience of his life, since then his body had refuse to comply even alone in the privacy of his own bedroom.

  1. Oh….that explains alot.
    Poor Taye, I don’t think she’ll ever get the child she wants.
    {O_O}

  2. Oh no poor Albert. I hope they can somehow work this out. Maybe Taye would be understanding.

  3. Oh. That explains it, but there’s no way that Taye will get her dream now!
